2 Chainz Biography

Tauheed Epps, also known as 2 Chainz, is a hip hop artist and rapper from America. A native of Georgia, he began his musical career by forming the hip hop duo Playaz Circle, along with a high school friend. Their first album, titled Supply and Demand', was a disappointing success. Epps then followed it up with 'Based on a T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It was an enormous success and debuted at the top spot on the US Billboard 200. It was a huge hit and sold 147,000 copies within the first week! After the album's release He hasn't been looking back and has now become one the best hip-hop artists in the US. He has been nominated for six Grammy Awards to date. One of them was awarded to his track "No Problem". When he was discovered to have marijuana and promethazine inside his luggage, he was taken off a flight from Los Angeles International Airport. This led to controversy. However, his brushes with the law haven't impacted his popularity much. The fourth studio album of his, "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music", was released in June of 2017. "Based on an R.U. Story', the debut studio album of 2 Chainz, can be considered to be his first major work and also the most successful album of his career. The album reached number one on the US Billboard 200. It also sold 147,000 copies within a single week. It was eventually sold 623,000 times over the course of the year. The album, which featured songs that were a hit, including 'No Lie' and 'Birthday Song' and I'm Different', was nominated as  the 'Best Rap Album' at the 55th Grammy Awards. Reviews were mostly mixed. 2 Chainz married Kesha Ward in 2013. The couple have three kids: Heaven, Harmony, and Halo. Despite having a successful career, he's known for his controversies with the law. He has been arrested many times for possession of drugs.
