Rosamund Pike

Born in London, England in 1979, Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike was the only child of Caroline (Friend) (Friend), the classical violinist's mother as well as Julian Pike, an opera singer father. Because of her parents' jobs, she spent her childhood travelling around Europe. Pike went to Bristol's Badminton School and started acting at the National Youth Theatre. Pike was just 23 when she was cast in "Romeo and Juliet" at the National Youth Theatre. She was then discovered by an agent and was signed. A brief foray into Hollywood film followed with the action flick, Doom (2005) as well as the thriller, Fracture (2007) however, she returned to smaller films with exceptional performances in three films: An Education (2009) and Dagenham (2010), and An Education. Dagenham (2010) and the lead opposite Paul Giamatti in Barney's Version (2010).As she continued her acting career in England, Pike appeared in the spy spoof, Johnny English Reborn (2011) as well as portrayed the role as "Andromeda" in the sci-fi epic, Wrath of the Titans (2012). Pike made a return to action movies as the lead actress opposite Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher (2012).
