Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos (Canadian actress) is Tracy Spiridakos. She was the Teletoon child's show Majority Rules' Becky Richards. from 2009-2010. From 2009-2010, she starred in the role of Charlotte Matheson (Charlie) on the NBC series Revolution, a post-apocalyptic science-fiction series. She was nominated to win a Saturn Award as Best Actress on Television. She portrayed Annika Johnson in the A&E television show Bates Motel. Spiridakos was a part of the cast as Detective Hailey Upton in the television show Bates from A&E. Motel. As Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the lead character. Spiridakos was the daughter of restaurant owner George Spiridakos and George Spiridakos, both of whom were born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has two siblings. The family relocated to their father's home town, Skala, Greece south of Sparta just a few years after she was born in Canada. They returned to Canada in 1992. Spiridakos is deeply connected to her Greek roots and speaks fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting at her junior high school. She continued her studies at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated Oak Park High School in Winnipeg. Spiridakos moved to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting and within a few weeks, she was offered her first television appearance that was a tiny part on Supernatural. She appeared on television for the next few years with parts in Psych, The L Word, Hellcats and Bionic Woman. Spiridakos was in the TV film Goblin and also in the web-based show Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She was also a regular on Being Human, as Brynn McLean, the werewolf. In 2009, Spiridakos was awarded her first role as a starring character in Majority Rules! Canada, where she played 15 year old Becky Richards. Her movie debut in the year 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes as well as filmed the low-budget Michael Greenspan-directed thriller, Kill for Me, with her co-stars Donal Logue and Katie Cassidy. Spiridakos was Sammi's character in Rags (2012) which was a Nickelodeon original movie. Spiridakos was later offered the lead role in Revolution as Charlotte Matheson (survivor of a dystopian future society), on NBC television. She auditioned for the part while attending her first pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos made her pilot in Atlanta. The pilot season was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was nominated for an Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV for her performance in the pilot season but was beaten out by Anna Torv from Fringe's. In the second season, production was moved to Austin Texas.
