Los Angeles in 1970. After her birth, her parents moved to Dallas, Texas. She
educated at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts
located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas. She completed her BFA in
acting at Stephens College, and also trained at the British American Drama
Academy. She also worked for six years at the Dallas Theatre Center, and one year
with Encore Company. Prior to her debut on the big screen, she started her
acting career in theaters. Her stage credits include "As You Like
It", “A Funny Things Happened on the Way to The Forum" "Measure
for Measure", and "Chicago" and "Chicago" as well as
numerous other productions. Her first big break came when she starred alongside
Angelina Jolie in Michael Cristofer's acclaimed HBO Telefilm Gia (1998) that
made her popular to critics and audience alike. Her charismatic acting skills
were evident in the science-fiction action film Frequency (2000) which
featuring Dennis Quaid and Neil LaBute. With a variety of credits in theatres,
TV shows and movies, Elizabeth Mitchell continues to be a top performer in the
acting field. Broke her nose during filming of the movie Frequency (2000). In
1994, she filmed a Hertz Rent-A-Car commercial but "they took it down
because of the O.J. thing." Living with David Lee Smith, ex-Brent from One
Life to Live (1968), in Manhattan's Upper West Side. Their parents are real estate
agents from Dallas and tax attorneys with their own firm. It is located only 5
blocks away from their Dallas home. After playing the character of Rosalind in
"As You Like It" for several years, Rosalind returned to the U.S.
Shortly after she was born in LA in 1970, her parents moved to Dallas, Texas.
She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and
Visual Arts situated in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, Texas. In 1991,
she graduated from Stephens College with a Fine Arts degree. The latter part of
2001 was spent in Cyd in a role with Ioan Gruffudd. The series aired from
during March 2002 on BBC 1 TV.
