Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zurer is among Israel's most
well-known actresses. She was born in Tel Aviv, and first caught the attention
of Hollywood when she was chosen by Steven Spielberg in her first
English-speaking part, playing Eric Bana's character's spouse in the Oscar(r)
nominated film Munich (2005). Zurer has appeared in many Studio films since her
arrival in America, which includes Sony Pictures' Vantage Point with William
Hurt and Dennis Quaid Samuel Goldwyn's Fugitive Parts with Stephen Dillane,
Paul Schrader’s Adam Resurrected in the role of Jeff Goldblum, and Willem
Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons is opposite Tom Hanks. Darling
companion, a Lawrence Kasdan cast, stars Diane Keaton and Kevin Kline, and
Warner Bros. Man Of Steel, opposite Russell Crow, is Ron Howard. Ewan McGregor
shot Rodrigo Garcia, Last Days in the Desert. She waited for the release of The
Last Knights, a film by Kazuaki Kiriya. She is starring alongside Clive Owen.
Recently, she was honored with the Gold Nymph Award as Outstanding actor in the
Drama Series at the 54th International Festival of Television of Monte-Carlo.
The award was given for her part in "Hostages". Ayelet has been
awarded an Israeli Film And Television Academy Award in recognition of her
performance as Nina's Tragedies. Ayelet also won nominations for her
performance in the feature films Only Dogs Run Free, The Dybbuk from the Holy
Apple Field, Desperado, and Rutenberg. She won the Haifa International Film
Festival critic award and was awarded with a star on Haifa's "film
boulevard," for her international and local achievements. Zurer also took
home the Israeli Television Academy Award for her role as the lead actress in
"In Treatment," an extremely acclaimed television show that has been
modified by HBO for American television. She was also nominated in the category
of apposite in 2014's year's best drama "Shtisel" as well as received
the award for best actress in drama for her performance as a brilliant surgeon
facing the death-and-life dilemma in Hostages. The series was sold to BBC4 and
Canal Plus and the American ABC. The "face " of one of Israel's
leading women's fashion brands- Golbary. Ayelet is a producer and writer.
Ayelet is working on several projects in Israel as well as the US. She has
expressed an desire to collaborate internationally with directors from around
the globe, as she believes in collaborating with writers and directors who are
not well-known.
