Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist.
She was previously a TV correspondent for ABC News. Her most well-known work is
her time as cohost of Good Morning America Weekend, 2014-2018, as well as host
of The View, 2015-2018. Prior to this, she hosted World News Now and America
This Morning. After graduating, she worked in several communications-related
jobs including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus,
Ohio. Due to the limited opportunities on TV she was employed in radio sales. Then
she was able to work for an entire year as a production assistant at WKEF/WRGT
, and then occasionally anchor and report. She was the weekend anchor for WCPO
TV in Cincinnati as well as the anchor for weekdays at WCPO TV in Cincinnati
between 2002 and 2005. After her contract was up she took on the role of sports
reporter and anchor at the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV in Chicago between November
2005 and December 2011. She was hired by ABC News' news division in December
2011. The first time she appeared on ABC News was on the 2nd of January, 2012
on ABC's World News Now, and America This Morning. She also played a role as a
fill-in on Good Morning America as well as a correspondent. In the following
years she was promoted to New York-based correspondent on every ABC News
programs. The program was not able for her to make it to the final show of
World News Now or America This Morning. It was on January 22, 2013. On August
9, 2014 she debuted as co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend, after the
departure of Bianna Golodryga, who moved to Yahoo! News. On the 25th of August,
2015, ABC announced that she would be joining The View as a co-host for season
19. The contract was renewed by ABC to run its 20th season on the 3rd of
August. She was also confirmed as co-host for Season 21. She was the most
prominent in the 21st and 22nd seasons of the show.
