Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario
Canada on 27 August 1976. Angie Chalke, and Doug Chalke are her parents. Sarah
is the middle of two siblings, the older one, Natasha Chalke, one younger,
Piper Chalke. Sarah began her acting career in a made-for-TV film called City
Boy (1992). After her debut film was a success, Sarah auditioned for the role
of "Becky" of Roseanne (1988). The show was looking for a replacement
after Alicia Goranson quit the show to attend college. Sarah graduated from high
school in 1995 while shooting the 1994-1995 season of Roseanne (1988). In 1994,
Sarah co-starred in the film Ernest Goes to School (1994) alongside Jim Varney.
She also appeared in Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand against Fear(1996). In
both films, she played the role of Krista Wilson who was who was a cheerleader.
Sarah was invited to perform in the 1998 show Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy.
This happened one year after Roseanne (1988). It was based on the show Nothing
Too Good for a Cowboy (2000), Sarah also was a part of the show. Sarah took
over the role of Becky on Roseanne (1988) from Alicia Goranson in 1993. Said
she would like to stop acting and go to college. [2001] (1993-1997) Actress who
played the younger sister of Sara Gilbert on Roseanne (1988) although she's
actually younger. Attended the 1999 CCMA award ceremony and received an award
for the top single of the year. In September of 1999, appeared in local
Vancouver theater productions, aged 8 years old. The actress is fluent in
French, German and Spanish. She is a volunteer at a hospice where children with
terminal illnesses are treated . She also works for the Audrey Hepburn
Children's Fund. Chalke loves cooking with her group of friends, especially
Thai as well as sushi as well as playing guitar. She also enjoys ski (she is an
instructor) and kayaking, as well as snowboarding as well as reading. Her
father is a lawyer, and both of her parents are mediators and run an agency for
child adoption. Her parents accompanied her to China two years ago to assist in
coordinating the adoptions of a lot of orphans.
