Rochon was raised in Torrance, Los Angeles suburb of Torrance and is the daughter of Zelma, a nurse practitioner as well as Samuel Staples, a business proprietor and graphic artist. Ullerup was part of the cast as Julia Brynn, a character in the remake show Battlestar Galactica that aired 2006 on Sci Fi Channel. The actress played Ashley Magnus in the first and second seasons of the television show Sanctuary until the character was written out. People were angry over her departure and were hoping to see her come back in the next shows. Sanctuary ended 2012, but not before an intense controversy. Ullerup starred as Bree O'Brien on Chesapeake Shores in the year 2016. Ullerup appeared as Maggie Thomas as the estranged ex-wife of Michael Thomas in Asteroid: Final Impact. Ullerup also played Dale Travers, a recurring actor in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered films from the year 2016 until present.
